Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
BIO
Tobias Todsen, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Professor at DTU Compute, Technical University of Denmark, and a consultant otorhinolaryngologist specializing in head and neck surgery at Rigshospitalet. His research lies at the intersection of clinical trials, data science, engineering, and medical innovation, with a particular focus on advanced imaging, robotics, and multimodal AI to improve diagnostics in cancer and infectious diseases. Dr. Todsen is an experienced clinical researcher with expertise in the design and execution of randomized clinical trials. He leads the interdisciplinary SURGiC research group at Rigshospitalet, driving translational research and innovation. His work has resulted in several patented technologies, and he is a co-founder of the spinout company 3Sonic. In addition to his research, he is also actively involved in teaching. He has developed a curriculum and served as course director for a new course on data science and AI for medical students at the University of Copenhagen. He currently serves as President of the Danish Society of Diagnostic Ultrasound and directs multiple international courses, including the Copenhagen International Head & Neck Ultrasound Course and the TUH MedTech Innovation Workshop.
