
Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
BIO
Tobias Todsen, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Professor at DTU Compute, Technical University of Denmark, and a consultant otorhinolaryngologist specializing in head and neck surgery at Rigshospitalet. His work is positioned at the intersection of clinical medicine, data science, engineering, and medical innovation, with a particular focus on advanced ultrasound technologies, 3D imaging, and multimodal artificial intelligence models to improve diagnostics and enable minimally invasive cancer treatment. He is the Director of the SURGiC research group at Rigshospitalet, an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and engineers. His research has resulted in several patented technologies and the spinout company 3Sonic. Dr. Todsen has led large multicenter randomized clinical trials involving more than 30,000 participants, secured over €8 million in competitive research funding, and published extensively in high-impact medical journals. He serves as President of the Danish Society of Diagnostic Ultrasound and as course director of the Copenhagen International Head & Neck Ultrasound Course and the TUH MedTech Innovation Workshop.
